I need healthy vegetarian recipes for lunch.
Im 12, taking summer classes at a nasa step program. I reach to the college at about 8:00am. And i eat lunch at 12:30pm. What healthy vegetarian recipes can i concoct in the morning to pack for lunch. Something yummy. My family has turned vegetarian so no more Ham and cheese for lunch. I need something HEALTHY AND YUMMY for lunch.
& something instead of PB&J on whole grain or white bread, i take that stuff almost everyday.

My dream job is to be a journalist for a magazine.
Right now I’m in my freshman year of college and have decided that my career goal is to be a magazine journalist. Right now I’m currently majoring in journalism with a concentration in magazines. I know that I need make my resume look more unique so I decided to have a minor (I would double major but then I’d be looking at being in school for 6+ just for a bachelor’s). So, I was considering a minor in nutrition (ideally I’d like to work for a magazine like Sunset, Women’s Day, or Light Cooking). The journalism department at my school is more mass communications based, and better fitting for PR students, so I feel more inclined to major in nutrition and minor in journalism bc I know that the journalism major won’t teach me as much, and with the minor I can pick and choose what journalism classes I want to take, however it looks better. What do you think.

Does anyone know how to cook Taro.
I have never cooked Taro before, I have heard it’s very healthy. I want to serve it with steak or chicken as a vegetable, can I just boil it like potatos.
Thanks

All-Clad or Calphalon - which is best for me.
I was originally looking to buy All-Clad cookware, but it is pretty pricey. Calphalon is much cheaper and you seem to get more in their sets than with All-Clad. I always though All-Clad was the best, but now that I think about it, I don’t know too much about either.
Should I hold out for the All-Clad, or will the Calphalon be just as good. I want something that has great heat distribution and a good quality metal and craftsmanship. I wouldn’t necessarily be using them every single day, and it’s definitely not in a professional setting. I will need something that can survive multiple cooking mediums (stove and grill). I had my eye on the Calphalon Tri-ply copper cookware, a set with a stock pot, sauce pot, 12″ fry pan, 5 qt dutch oven, and a 8 and 12″ saute pan. I might add another saute pan as I tend to saute a lot. It would be about $500 compared with the All-Clad, which if I wanted copper for heat distribution then I would need the copper core and a similar set would run probably over $1,000. Anybody have experience with either or both of these brands.

Switching to a vegetarian diet.
*sigh*
Over the past few months I’ve noticed that some of the celebrities I really like, and are aging fantastically are vegetarian or vegan - people like Joan Jett and Eric Stoltz (Go ahead and laugh, I know that doing something because it looks good on a celebrity is silly.)
Anyway, my point is - I’m now considering working up to a vegetarian diet. But I want some good resources. I can google all day long but at this stage I can’t necessarily tell good resources from bad ones. Any book recommendations, websites, etc. Especially cookbooks or recipe sites, I love to cook. Tips would be nice too.
I appreciate all answers. I’m sure this question gets asked all the time but I’ve seen websites rather than books and I’d really like a book recommendation or two. Thanks
Oh, one extra question -
Any good evidence that a veg diet is good for cardiovascular health.

What should I tell my mom to buy at the grocery store tomorrow.
My mom is going to the grocery store tomorrow and I’m sick of eating the same things week after week. I just never know what to tell her to buy.
Last summer I was in really good shape, but I sort of gained a little bit of weight over the winter. Now I’m in the process of losing it again so I need to eat HEALTHY things.
I used to eat a lot of healthy choice meals, but I’m sick of those. Plus I know that processed stuff isn’t every very good for you.
What are some simple/fairly cheap things I could have her buy.
I know she’ll buy fruit.
But what should I tell her as far as veggies go. Does anyone know any simple ways to make veggies taste better but still be healthy. Like a low-calorie seasoning maybe, instead of like cheese or peanut butter. ha
For breakfast we usually just get a high-fiber cereal with soy milk. Or protein bars of some sort.
Then for snacks I’ve been eating a lot of freeze pops lately. I know they’re high in sugar but it’s better than what I could be eating for snacks. ha
But what should I have her buy for lunch and dinner.
Anyone know a healthy recipe with tortillas. Vegetarian would be nice because my mom doesn’t eat much meat, and I don’t really need meat. I’ve sort of been in the mood for something with tortillas lately, but other than that I have no ideas.
SO if anyone has any healthy/SUPER SIMPLE recipes that would be wonderful. As in- mostly microwave/maybe something that involves a stove. Our oven is broken so that’s not an option. BUT I do have a magic bullet that I could make salsa with or something.
So like- healthy/vegetarian mostly/not too expensive/super simple/fairly quick to cook.
Any ideas.

If everyone made the same amount of money regardless of their work or work ethic, can you still get rich.
For example:
Mr. Tim makes $30 an hour for his work as a mechanical engineer
Mr. Fester makes $30 an hour for his work as a french fry cook
Mr. Tim pays his bills and sets aside 20% of his income every check to long term savings
Mr. Fester spends all of his earnings on crack and 8 Ball
Later on, Mr. Fester finds himself evicted and living in a shelter or under a bridge because he discovered he still makes $30 and and doesn’t have to work, but owes a lot of mean people a lot of money.
Later on, Mr. Tim has saved enough money to do whatever the heck he wants and buy some really cool stuff.
So.even under socialism/communism you will have rich people and poor people
Its simplistic, yes.but why is it a stretch.
My point is.Regardless of whether you’re in a Capitalistic system or a Socialistic/Communistic system, the opportunists/smart people are going to get wealthy, and the bottom feeders will still be at the bottom.
You’re a racist Hot patata
You’re a poverty pimp Hot Patatata
